The Cardiovascular Program of Boston Children’s Health Physicians provides a fully comprehensive, easily accessible system of care for children of all ages with a congenital or acquired cardiovascular concerns and young adults who have grown up with these conditions.

Combining state of the art technologic tools and a compassionate clinical approach developed from over 30 years’ experience, the seventeen pediatric cardiologists, nurses and technical staff of the CV program use family centered principles of care to find the best, individualized solution for each patient’s unique circumstances.

About Pediatric Cardiology

We are a group of 17 pediatric cardiologists who work with a dedicated cardiothoracic surgical team, cardiac anesthesia experts, cardiovascular nurse specialists and a uniquely trained technical staff to deliver world-class care to children of all ages in the Hudson Valley.

Our pediatric cardiology team has pioneered the use of treatments for a wide range of children’s cardiovascular problems. We continue to develop new strategies to diagnose and treat cardiac conditions in children of all ages – from the prenatal period through young adulthood. Examples include our Adult Congenital Heart Disease Center (in collaboration with our adult cardiology colleagues) and the implementation of 3D echocardiography and similar cutting-edge technologies.

Our services

We provide a full range of pediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery services, including:

  • outpatient and inpatient care
  • electrophysiology testing, therapy, and device placement and management
  • interventional cardiac catheterization and device placement
  • all types of echocardiography, including 3D
  • cardiopulmonary exercise stress testing
  • syncope and dizziness evaluation including physiologic testing (specially designed tilt table testing)
  • cardiac CT and cardiac MR
  • surgery in neonates, infants, adolescents, and young adults including ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) therapy in both Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive care units
  • fetal cardiac diagnosis and assessment
  • pediatric cardiomyopathy evaluation and management
  • preventive cardiology
  • adult congenital heart disease through the Westchester Adult-Teen Congenital Heart Program (WATCH)
