About Adult Infectious Diseases
The Adult Infectious Diseases group consists of six board-certified physicians who have expertise in diagnosing and treating all types of infectious diseases.

Adult Infectious Diseases is now part of Boston Children’s Health Physicians (BCHP), formerly Children’s & Women’s Physicians of Westchester (CWPW). BCHP is a member of the Boston Children’s Hospital integrated network of care locations and partnerships, ranked the #1 pediatric hospital in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
Our research
We are actively involved in ongoing, cutting-edge research in tick-borne diseases, HIV, healthcare-associated infections and other infectious diseases.
- Adult Infectious Disease Division is funded in part by research grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Our faculty has published over 500 papers including at least 25 in the New England Journal of Medicine
- We have made seminal discoveries including co-discovering AIDS
- Our faculty conducted the study that found single dose doxycycline to be efficacious for preventing Lyme disease after a tick bite
