Dr. Supriya Jain is an Assistant Professor at the New York Medical College and has a joint appointment with the Department of Pediatrics (Division of Pediatric Cardiology) and the Department of Radiology. She works as an Attending Physician in Pediatric Cardiology at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at the Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY.
She is Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology.
After receiving her medical degree from India, she completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, IL. She went on to do a Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), CA. She then pursued an advanced senior fellowship in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMRI) at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA.
Her areas of specific interest and expertise include non-invasive cardiac imaging, including Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, Fetal echocardiography and Cardiac MRI. She has been instrumental in expanding the Pediatric Cardiac MRI program at the Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY.
She manages the care of neonates, children and young adults with congenital heart disease and acquired heart disease, both in the acute inpatient and outpatient setting. Her research interests are centered on cardiac imaging and she has many publications and presentations. She loves to teach and is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
She lives in NY with her husband and her son. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and also loves to paint and travel.
