Dr. Leif Lovig is a Pediatric Cardiologist at Children’s and Women’s Physicians of Westchester and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College.
Dr. Lovig completed his undergraduate education at Syracuse University in 2002 and received his medical degree (M.D.) from New York Medical College in 2006. He completed his pediatric residency training at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital (including an additional year as Pediatric Chief Resident) in 2010. He then completed his Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and served as Chief Fellow during his final year of training. Dr. Lovig remained at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh as an attending Cardiologist from 2013-2015, before joining the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at Children’s and Women’s Physicians of Westchester in July 2015.
Dr. Lovig is Board Certified in both Pediatrics (2009) and Pediatric Cardiology (2014). His clinical specialties include Fetal Cardiology and non-invasive cardiac imaging, with a passion for providing outstanding care for fetuses and neonates with congenital heart disease through strong collaboration with his colleagues in Obstetrics, Neonatology, Medical Genetics, and Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Lovig also provides comprehensive clinical care for children and young adults with congenital heart disease in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
He lives in Westchester with his wife and two daughters.
