Adult Cystic Fibrosis
Boston Children’s Health Physicians (BCHP) sponsors and staffs the nationally recognized Armond V. Mascia, MD Cystic Fibrosis Center, which is a collaborative effort of BCHP, Westchester Medical Center, and New York Medical College. Half of our patients are 18 years of age and older, and we have a long-standing nationally recognized adult CF Program. Our CF Center, which was named after our founder, Armond V. Mascia, MD, has been continuously accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for over 40 years. Dedicated to excellence in patient care, education, and research, we are the only accredited CF Center in the Hudson Valley. Our main offices are at 19 Bradhurst Avenue, Hawthorne, NY, just across the highway from Westchester Medical Center.
BCHP supports a large multidisciplinary team that works together to offer adult patients with CF the best care possible. We have full time CF nurses, respiratory therapist, nutritionist and social worker. We work very closely with all of other BCHP specialists to deliver both inpatient and outpatient care to CF patients and their families.
In addition to a clinical CF Center, our center is dedicated to clinical research. Patients with CF are committed to enrolling in the many exciting clinical trials that are making a real difference in the lives of our patients. We have a superb clinical research team, with a division research manager, three full time research coordinators, and two research assistants. Patients followed at all other CF Centers in the NY Metro Region and beyond have come to our center to participate in our clinical trials and research.
