Whitney attended Middlebury College in Vermont where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then attended Columbia University in New York to enrich her medical knowledge before enrolling in a Physician Assistant Program. She received her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from New York Institute of Technology on Long Island and was board certified in 2016. She trained in diverse settings including a pediatric emergency room in Brooklyn, NY as well as a private pediatric practice similar to ours on Long Island.
During her time at Columbia University, Whitney worked as a nursing assistant in the postpartum unit at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. In her time at NYP Hospital, she floated to the neonatal unit providing care to neonates during their stay at the hospital. She also volunteered in the Pediatric wing at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for 2 years.
Her Master’s thesis on screening protocols for Brugada Syndrome was selected for publication in 2016. Her undergraduate research on Hypervigilance in Post Traumatic Stress Disorder was also selected for publication in 2014.
She and her husband take advantage of the outdoors as much as possible and enjoy traveling- both nationally and abroad. They love spending time exploring National Parks- Glacier, MT is a favorite. She is a certified spinning instructor and enjoys both taking and teaching classes.
Whitney works Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in addition to assisting us with our weekend coverage. She enjoys providing care to children of all ages and looks forward to meeting you.
