Biography:

Dr. Stephen Adler received his medical degree from New York University College of Medicine in 1976. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York. This was followed by a clinical and research fellowship in nephrology at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. Adler was the recipient of the John P. Merrill Fellowship from the National Kidney Foundation in 1981-1982. Dr. Adler joined the faculty of the University of Washington in 1982 and moved to New York Medical College in 1986. He is currently Professor of Medicine/Nephrology and Physiology, Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College. His research interests include complications of chronic kidney disease and prevention of progression of kidney failure. He is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha honorary societies, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is listed in Top Doctors in New York, Westchester County Magazine and New York Magazine. Dr. Adler is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and is a Specialist in Clinical Hypertension of the American Society of Hypertension.
