Dr. Overby is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at New York Medical College.  He is board certified in both pediatric neurology and epilepsy.  Dr. Overby is primarily interested in acute care neurology including neurocritical care, continuous bedside EEG monitoring, and neurologic care of the hospitalized patient. Dr. Overby trained in pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore.  He completed his pediatric neurology fellowship at Johns Hopkins.  He then returned to Montefiore for a fellowship in neurophysiology including Electroencephalography (EEG) and care of the patient with epilepsy.  Subsequently Dr. Overby was Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at Montefiore and Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In this capacity he served as the inpatient neurology hospitalist.  Dr Overby is originally from Minnesota and grew up in Minneapolis.  He has a BA in English from Kenyon College, an MA from St John’s College Graduate Institute where he studied philosophy, and an MD from the University of Minnesota.  He and his family live in Westchester.  Now part of Boston Children’s Health Physicians Dr. Overby, will be director of the inpatient neurology service at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital under the auspices of the division of pediatric neurology.
