Marta Christov, MD, PhD, completed her medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School in 2004 and internal medicine residency training at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL in 2007. She completed her nephrology fellowship training at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, in 2010, where she stayed on as instructor for 4 years. Dr. Christov came to Westchester Medical Center in 2015 and is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College/ Westchester Medical Center. She has been involved in basic and translational research for over 10 years, currently working in the area of phosphate metabolism and renal bone disease, as well as the influence of anemia on mineral metabolism and FGF23. She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology.
