Bio:
Dr. Nackenson has been practicing Adolescent Medicine for over 25 years, including 19 years here in Westchester. After receiving a B.A. in Biological Sciences at Cornell University, she completed medical school at Tel Aviv University, Sackler School of Medicine – New York State Program, and went on to do her pediatric residency and adolescent medicine fellowship at Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. She is board certified in both Pediatrics and the sub-specialty of Adolescent Medicine. She is Chairperson of the Committee on Adolescence for the American Academy of Pediatrics New York District II Chapter 3, and has served on the Medical Affiliate Committee of the Hudson-Peconic Planned Parenthood. Dr. Nackenson is a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at New York Medical College, where she is active in teaching medical students, is the director of the Adolescent Medicine rotation for the Pediatric residents at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, and is currently Interim Chief of Adolescent Medicine. She has lectured widely in both academic and community settings, on topics from eating disorders to menstrual disturbances to adolescent development.

Dr. Nackenson has been a resident of Westchester for over 25 years, and together with her lawyer husband, has raised two young men through late adolescence, which may be the best adolescent education she’s ever had.
