Laurie Winkler, Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Laurie Winkler attended Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, graduating cum laude and completing her B.A. degree in psychology one year early. She continued graduate work at Adelphi University, where she obtained her first masters in psychology while also working at a counseling center in Astoria, Queens, where she provided individual and family counseling to a diverse client population for 5 years. After receiving her first masters, Laurie Winkler obtained a second masters in mental health counseling at Manhattan College. She then spent a year in a school setting in Yonkers, N.Y. providing therapy to at risk students, which was then followed by two additional years at a private counseling center in New Rochelle, N.Y. before joining Boston Children’s Health Physicians, where she works alongside her husband Dr. Seth Winkler, her father-in-law Dr. Alan Winkler, and her brother-in-law Dr. Jason Winkler.

At her shared offices in Scarsdale, N.Y. and Bedford Hills, N.Y., Laurie brings her expertise in mental health to patients of all ages and backgrounds, tailoring therapy to the individual needs of each person with a practical and empathetic approach in order to help each one find their happiness, livelihood, and ultimately, their prosperity. Laurie Winkler provides both individual, family, and couples therapy to patients suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, mood disorder, ADHD,  oppositional defiant disorder, behavioral problems, adjustment disorder, developmental delays, marital and relationship problems, schizophrenia, and other mental health disorders.
